Dunbars Venus (Retired)
Some dogs produce beautiful puppies, Some dogs build a legacy. Venus has done both.
She has been one of the most important females in my program and the foundation behind some of the dogs that have helped shape Kentuckiana Poodles into what it is today. She is the mother of Creed and Van from her unforgettable 2022 litter, two dogs that have had a tremendous impact on my program and on my vision for the future. Venus has consistently produced puppies with exceptional structure, wonderful temperaments, and the kind of presence that makes you stop and take notice. Beyond what she has produced, Venus has been an incredible mother. Calm, devoted, and instinctive, she raised each litter with ease and gave her puppies the very best start in life. Her final litter in 2026 was one I had looked forward to for a long time. It was bittersweet knowing this would be the only time I would watch her step into the whelping box and do what she does so effortlessly. Now that her job here is complete, Venus has more than earned her retirement. She will spend the rest of her life being exactly what she deserves to be, spoiled and loved every single day in her guardian home in Tennessee. Mocha produced puppies with exceptional temperaments, sound structure, and the kind of quality that set the standard for my program. Many of the traits I value most today can be traced directly back to her. More than just a breeding dog, Mocha was the dog that shaped my vision and taught me what I wanted to preserve for generations to come. Now retired, Mocha is living the life she deserves being a couch potato with us and grand mothering all the new babies to come, spoiled and loved every single day.
